Patch 2.0.0
Our Official Relaunch!
Hey there, friends! We're glad to have you on board after everything that's happened and welcome to the freshly opened Dragon Ball Aftermath!!
We're excited to show you guys a bit of what we have coming up!!
I'm your host, Husbando Material, here to lead you on the adventure through understanding our changes to the system and what we hope to accomplish in the future for the site.
OUR MISSION
It is our goal to create a Dragon Ball site like no other!
This brings us to two primary goals with our changes:
1. Increase interactivity of mechanics and create a balanced world where any character can rise to the top!
2. Create an environment that fosters a strong bond between players and staff allowing for ease of communication. You are a big part of what makes this place great.

Announcements
Hey guys, so we realize how long everything took to get rolling!
We wanted to push things out as fast as we could!
But, it quickly became apparent during the transfer that things weren't good enough.
We knew we could be better. We made you wait. We're sorry.
In order to make up for this:
If your character has less than 10,000 Power Level: They will gain 10,000 Power Level effective immediately. Those approved in the first week will also receive this bonus.
If your character has a Power Level from 10,000 to 19,999: They will gain 7,500 Power Level effective immediately
If your character has a Power Level over 20,000: They will gain 5,000 Power Level effective immediately

Rule Changes
The first and most important rule change is that effective immediately the 10,000 Words of Solos rule that applied prior is no longer in effect but a new system that will apply to all forms of roleplay, yes even group roleplay, will be rolled out.
Players will now, after passing an undisclosed amount of gains, will begin to have their gains broken into weekly increments. Depending on the size is how many even increments we break it into.
Staff Salary: This is a now a thing. Every Sunday, a staff member can claim on a single character that has not earned more than 6,000 PL that week an amount of 2,000 PL and 1,500z. This amount cannot be raised in the future without a majority playerbase consensus.
ICRP Chats: These can give guaranteed gains now. In a spoiler, post the logs to your Discord RPs with their wordcounts broken down by player. These receive 50% of the gains that other RPs would give and are on a single week cooldown.
Absorption
The big bad itself has come to the forefront after you told us that you wanted to see some changes to how this works! So, we've not only made changes we've completely reworked the way Absorption affects the site.
Steps to Perfection: The Absorption process no longer stands between you and that big multiplier! All absorption based transformations are being removed from the system!
Non-Playable Character? Non-Absorbed Character!: The option to absorb NPC Allies & Minions has been removed from the game entirely.
UPPING THE ANTE!: So, now that these changes are noted what makes absorption special? Well, I'm glad you asked! The first thing is that when an absorption is done its effects take place instantly! However, if the absorber is defeated in that battle, the absorbee is released back into the world of the living. If they aren't saved, however. They get their Otherworld bonus doubled for a month, but must remain in Otherworld for two months.
Bio-Androids: For Bio-Androids when they complete an absorption the first time, they get an instant x2 to their base power level. This is permanent and does not work the same as stacking forms does. This is a simple INCREASE in power. This number drops from there to x1.75 on the next. Then x1.5. Then x1.25. Then x1.1. Then x1.075. Then x1.05. Then x1.04. x1.03. x1.02. x1.01 and there the bonus stays. 1% of their PL per absorption at that point.
Majins: A little different, but basically the first time they absorb a target they get x1.5 to their PL and two techniques from that target. The next time is another 1.5 but only 1 tech. Then it follows the same path as the Bio-Android, however at each tier it has an absorb with two techniques then an absorb with one technique. Then it drops another tier and so on until they too are at x1.01 with one technique, where they stay for the remainder of the game.
Androids & Cyborgs
So there are a lot of details that brought about our decision to split up Androids & Cyborgs like we did and the importance of the choices we made in racials. These changes are to breathe new life into Androids and make them feel fresh and strong. In the show, Androids were some of the most dominant figures for a good while and they really should be reflecting that in the way we run the site.
What did we change on Androids?
Well, the first and most important thing is we removed the old racial Repairable. It was a neat racial, but overall it was really punishing on Androids. This system's strengths lie in techniques and bonuses that you receive in Otherworld. This racial made them very, very weak when compared to other races. Players raised this concern and we realized that Androids as a whole could use some slight tweaks and this is just the beginning of our change to Androids. Instead of Repairable, Androids can now choose between two new racials: Nuclear Reactor Model or Energy Absorption Model both of which bring their own unique things to the table. Also, just to better fit the flavour, the racial Enduring has been renamed Relentless.
Nuclear Reactor Model comes with a unique racial power that allows the Android to unleash a nuclear reaction from within and kill everything between them and their mid range as long as they're within half of that person's power level. This has a single turn charge up.
This was drawn from inspiration on Android #16 and the way that he attempted to sacrifice himself fighting Cell. Anything killed this way remains dead for only half the usual time (2 weeks) and the Android cannot return until they drop 20,000z to come back! Even after their 2 weeks has passed. They can pay double the usual 20k (that's 40k for the not-great-at-math-types) to just immediately revive after the explosion: No Otherworld needed!
Energy Absorption Model gains a new way to regenerate lost Energy! When they defend and it deals damage to their stamina they can regain 50% of that damage to their Energy meter. Obviously, there is a cooldown to this. They are also capable of grappling and consistently draining the opponent of their Energy!

And to toss a whole new twist into it, we also released a new race to better represent the feel of those like #17 and #18 OR those Mecha-Freeza types! Check out our new race, the Cyborgs, HERE! Characters that were Androids of these styles or Hybrids of Androids/Any other race to represent Cyborgs before now will need to make a transition to this race.
Shinjins had a lot of really cool ideas in them. I mean, really, they were probably one of the coolest concepts on the board but they were struggling to really be able to compete with other races in a fight. We see this same issue currently in our Earthling race and we do plan to address it next patch but as of right now that is still under development. So yes, Token Humans, expect another EXCITING update in the coming weeks with more info on Earthlings! But less on that more on everyone's favourite race of people born from pretty apples.
Shinjin were in a really good spot before, but they really needed a slight touch-up to their racials and one of their racials needed completely reworked.
So what changes were made:
Designated to Protect: This racial was in a relatively decent spot, we just adjusted the wording to make it a little easier to read on a single glance through. Wording adjustments are coming site wide to make things easier to understand. The only other change made here is now every 100,000 Power Level they can add an additional friend with them on their teleport to the new world. Spooky.
Protector's Blessing: This racial again was really solid, but the wait time was atrocious. It's now two months instead of three with the added caveat of you can't nope death twice in a row with it. Sorry pal, you need to wait.
Path of Ascendancy: This racial no longer exists. Instead, upon unlocking the form "Ultimate Shinjin" they get the Potara Earrings from that. No racial slot used! How convenient!
NEW! Shinjin Divine Ki: Unlike other races, Shinjin are gods. Due to that they get a new racial that reflects that! Shinjins now begin the game with a Unique Variant of God Ki known as "Shinjin Divine Ki" an [SP] Technique that says all techniques that they use that depend on the use of God Ki will have their costs reduced by 10% (cost x 0.9) without impacting damage! A new leg up on the competition, one may say!

Giant Forms
So, Giant Forms really had nothing going for them. We had three of them and honestly there was no reason for a player to choose going Oozaru over another form before. This was something that we really didn't like the feel of and we wanted to give them something unique to band-aid them while we wrap up some more drastic adjustments to our systems to really make them feel NEW.
All giant forms now have a slightly nerfed dodge, that's the downside to their new stuff. In a giant form, dodging costs you 100% Stamina or Energy in order to avoid an incoming attack instead of the usual 75%.
Now then, what makes up for that?
For Saiyans, they get an overall damage boost of 10% without increasing costs in this form and any damage they take is reduced by 5%. This takes place after defending and only applies to damage done to Health.
For Namekians, their overall multiplier got a buff from 5x to 8x and they are now 10% harder to dodge when doing physical attacks in this form and do 10% more physical damage without changing the costs!
For Born of Negativity Demons, they reduce all damage done to their health by 10% and their Physical Attacks are 10% more damage without impacting costs. They hit hard and don't get hurt easily.
That should help for the time being.
Red Ribbon Market
In a hope to balance things a bit better in terms of shops, the following changes are being made to items. The goal is to make them a bit more fair and to make there be a bit more longevity to items. As well as to just make things overall better!
This is the end of our Patch Notes so this is where we give you guys a few of ideas of what to expect in the future!
Here's what's coming soon!:
So now that you know what to look forward to, tell us below what changes YOU would like to see. There may be something small in it for you as long as you let us now before April 18th at 12:00am EDT (GMT-4)!
