Jack Cyprus, CEO of the Red Ribbon Corporation, was trapped in a very specific bind as of late, and his mind continued to race methodically over the things that scrolled past his eyes on his personal computer. The more he sat around, the more it seemed that unrest spread across the company and the planet. The Red Ribbon Forces were lacking in funds and power, thanks to the board and their continued onslaught of budget cuts. The Commander was growing increasingly tired of the same old arguments that they kept throwing his way with every meeting. “The world is in a state of peace, and the outer planets seem to be booming with commerce as well. There’s no need to continue building our security Forces, they’re well enough.” That wasn’t going to continue any further if Jack has anything to say about it. And with his recent advancements in his own ventures, it was a likely possibility that they would soon have all the funding and power they needed. As he closed out a few of the files he had finished, Jack noticed one that had continued to command his attention. Apparently there was a man who did occasional round ups and other work for the Red Ribbon, some kind of cowboy bounty hunter type. Jack had been racking his brain over why the suits hadn’t pushed this man his way for the RRF, but it only made sense to him that they refused for the principal of screwing him over. He decided to take control of the matter himself, as another like him would be vastly beneficial in helping him secure his position, which in turn helps the world. Picking up his phone, Jack dialed his secretary. “Yeah, I need you to put out an invitation to Jarod Helar. Tell him to come to my office when he’s available. I have something I wish to speak with him about. Here’s the necessary information.” Sending her his contact information, Jack sat back in his chair and pondered further on his next move. WC: 342

- 45 minutes after receiving the call -
It wasn't exactly unheard of for Jarod to be called up by somebody from the Red Ribbon Corporation, let alone their CEO. While he had been back once in a while to get a check up on how his cybernetics were going it was never about work. Such a thing was handled via heavily secured and private communication channels for the safety of both parties. Regardless, Jarod was interested in a meeting with the leader of the entire corporation. He worked for them and his 'boss' varied with the job he was given, although as of late the amount of work Jarod was getting was somewhat less over time.
"Perhaps this was why I was called by their CEO?" he thought to himself as he walked towards the secretary's desk. Before he even spoke to the woman the cowboy took off his stylish hat in respect.
"Ma'am, I believe i was called here for a meeting with the CEO?"
She nods and then pushes a button on her desk, opening the doors to the primary office.
"Thank you kindly." Jarod said before he put his hat back on his head and walked into the office. He stepped forward til he was about five meters away from the desk of the CEO.
"Well hello there sir. Allow me to introduce myself."
The cowbow took of his hat and gave a small bow of his head towards the direction of the CEO behind the desk.
"Jarod Helar, at your request sir. As i was reasonably close by I decided to come as soon as possible. How can i help you?"

Jack has been waiting patiently behind his desk for a short while, wondering if he would receive word from the mercenary after his invitation. He was instead pleasantly surprised when he was notified of the individual in question arriving in no more than an hour after his summons. Jack himself, being a soldier through and through, respected the man for his extreme punctuality. Once he had arrived fully and entered the office, Jack studied his approach and mannerisms, all while gauging his presentation of self. Obviously, having access to nearly every file concerning the man’s existence, the Commander knew full well what Jarod was capable of, in a statistical sense. However it was much preferred to assess the individual and his ability in person. The picture he painted was of a composed and proper man, with mannerisms and respect, and that was exactly the kind of man that Jack wanted working for him. Standing and walking around the desk, Jack extended a hand to the cowboy in greeting. The two of them couldn’t look more opposite at the moment with Jarod wearing his outlaw getup and Jack in his business clothes, wearing a button up white shirt and a fashionable black jacket that hung open and framed his athletic build, with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows and the shirt untucked from his slacks. Expecting a firm shake, the Cyborg introduced himself. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jarod Helar. I’m sure you’re familiar with me, but allow me to introduce myself properly.” Releasing the man’s hand and taking a slight bow, he continued. “My name is Jack Cyprus, CEO of the RRC as well as Commander of the RRF, of which you are affiliated. You may refer to me freely as whichever name or title suits you.” Jack held a certain air of authority when he spoke, however he did not sound unfriendly and even spoke with somewhat of a casual mannerism. Gesturing to the desk and the chair in front of it, he spoke again. “If you’ll have a seat, I have a couple of propositions for you regarding your employment that I would enjoy speaking to you about. If you have any specific questions you’d like to ask, you may do so now or after as needed.” With that, he returned to his seat on the opposite side and waited to see for his company to get comfortable. "Well i actually didn't know your name up until now, Boss."Jarod spoke the honest truth to the Red Ribbon CEO. Other than a few loose names of some employees that had helped him out from time to time he really didn't know the higher ups. More to the point, Jarod didn't care for the most part. His employers handed him jobs and Jarod accepted and accomplished them, which resulted in him getting paid a considerable sum of money. It was nice that he did now know a name that he could tie to the other end though.
He continued to stood still while he listened to what Jack had to say to say. A new job proposition, although something out of usual arrangements. Considering he was speaking to the CEO of the corporation then it would be a rather serious one. He had a question that he had to ask first, but not before sitting down.
"Thanks, I'll do that." Jarod replied to jack. The cowboy stepped forward and grasped the chair that was offered. It was rather soft and comfortable, more softer than the single seat he had in his hotel room. He pulled himself forward and sat down on the chair, confirming that it was more comfortable than he originally believed it was. Jarod faced Jack with his hat on his lap.
"I do have a immediate question about all this before you get into more detail. I thought i was already employed to the Corporation? Unless this is about something else that you would kindly be able to detail a bit more, would you? I take it this isn't exactly like the current work I've been assigned. Speaking a bit freely here, I'm kinda disappointed that my work load has slowed down. I mean i thought i was off employed off the records or at the very lease loosely."WC: 313 TWC: 587

Jack leaned back slightly in his chair as Jarod took his seat and spoke his mind. It was refreshing, actually, that he was face to face with someone for once, as well as it being someone who he felt he at least had something in common with. The man was also quite polite and straightforward, which again Jack appreciated far more than he could express. On the topic of Jarod’s employment, he only had a simple statement to make. “You are already employed by the Red Ribbon Corporation, yes, and it is handled rather loosely. The board generally only gives you bounty options and other small jobs, yes?” Knowing that he was correct, Jack sat forward slightly as he tapped the desk. “It’s of my opinion that they do that mostly to keep tabs on you, rather than out of any sense of business standard. They’ve done a hell of a job keeping you from the work you actually should be doing.” Jack hit a button on the desk, activating the holographic projector built within and bringing a small hologram into existence to his right, Jarod’s left. The projection showed the symbol for the Red Ribbon Forces, Jack’s military division. “I’ve been looking into specific individuals planet wide for recruitment into the RRF, with the galaxy no longer a mystery to us. It has become my priority that we assemble able bodied fighters such as yourself, in order to secure the safety of our home. I’m asking that you join the task force as well, and go in my stead to recruit these individuals as I find them.” Jack sat back once more and adjusted his sleeves, before looking to the bounty hunter once more. “It’s a full time employment with pay and benefits. You’d answer directly to me from here on out. Any questions you have, again, I’ll answer now. Are you interested?”

Jarod listened to Jack as he explained everything. About how others in the corporation were messing him about and the CEO’s proposition. The thought of establishing a relationship with somebody of considerable wealth and power was of great interest to him. If Jarod wanted to be wealthy then to be friends with somebody like Jack would be a solid step.
With a well spoken tone, Jarod replied to Jack with what was on his mind.
“Well, I am interested in moving on up in the world. Your offer sounds perfect for somebody of my talents so long the pay is good and the work is constant. It is a bit disconcerting however that people within your organization are keeping me away from work, or worse yet only giving me ‘small’ jobs..”
The cowboy raised his hands and moved them about slightly to emote while he continued to speak.
“I do have a few questions though. The first question i have to ask is this. If i’m to believe that others within the corporation have been on purpose giving me less work then why should i believe that you might do the same in the future? I need a sign of commitment on your behalf to show that you’ll look out for me as much as i’ll look out for you.”
Jarod’s hands pulled themselves back, replaced with a slight lean forward towards the CEO.
“Now my second question is one that has weighed heavily on my mind since i woke up. While i already believe that you would know about me and my situation i think i’ll kindly reiterate. I sadly don’t have any memory of my past. I woke up a blank slate with nothing to my name other than a old picture.”
Jarod pulled out the picture in question to Jack. A aged photo with himself, although considerably younger, and three others in it. A girl around the same age as Jarod and two adults. He places it on Jack’s desk and slides it over upright towards the CEO.
“I’ve been asleep for a excessively long time so I don’t believe that anybody in the picture other than myself would be alive. If i’m lucky. As a far reaching corporation I do wonder if you could assist me with any information to help me piece together my past. Such a thing would be highly appreciated.”
