Parsley City. This place drew Kondai in from the name alone, it sounded like a Saiyan name from the way it sounded and that made Kondai mildly curious. Perhaps it was a Saiyan outpost on Earth that the Humans graciously allowed the Republic of Sadala to make? Unfortunately not. Kondai soon figured out that it was nowhere even close to that and instead it was a normal human city. Much smaller than any of their directional capitals though no less impressive by what he could tell. There was technology everywhere, this was a pure and simple technological marvel of a city, in fact in made Kondai wonder if this city was built hand in hand with that race of small people he read about once. The weird tinkering race over on Planet Plant... Tu... ffles? Tuffles, yeah, that had to be it. Kondai was having fun exploring but soon enough something else caught him, it was the incredibly enticing aroma of something that small absolutely rich, savory, and delicious. The very whiff of it dragged him along almost comedically toward a nearby food stand ran by a rather short stubby man with a handlebar mustache in a chef's hat. In front of the man was some sort of fried noodle dish. Kondai looked at the sign above the stand which read "Yakisoba" on it. Kondai checked the price and was delighted to see it only costed 20 zeni a bowl, Kondai immediately pulled zeni out of his pocket, triple what an average bowl would cost. Kondai was drooling in anticipation of the food.
"Give me the biggest bowl of this Yakisoba that you can physically give me please, it smells absolutely amazing and I'm now hungry."
In the bowl the man gave him was a huge mass of noodles with bits of pork, cabbage, onions, bean sprouts, and carrots. All garnished with fish flakes and a dallop of mayonnaise, Kondai smiled at the man happily and took the absurdly sized bowl off his hands before bowing politely and smiling.
"Thank you so much! I can't wait to dig into this, it smells delicious. Well, bottoms up!"
Kondai said before picking up a pair of chopsticks and beginning to chow down, his mouth becoming a garbage disposal as it moved so fast that before long the bowl was three fourths empty, half empty... then before the man could even blink at Kondai it was gone and Kondai let out a satisified burp before handing back the bowl.
"That was delicious, thanks again!"
Kondai said before he walked off, he wasn't full but he knew food portions were more expensive on this planet and didn't wanna waste stupid amounts of zeni to satisfy the full extent of his hunger. He knew he would last with what he ate.

| Sickle had been watching the man for some time. The odd creature stood and looked like a human, those filthy monkeys that straddled this god forsaken rock and called it their 'home', but something seemed off about him. His Ki, it sensed of foreign origin. His hair and bodily structure reminded him of his times with his parents, traveling the universe on a musical note... Good Times.
The Changeling had mostly kept himself to the shadows, hiding in plain sight, at least, as well as one can when you look like a five foot tall lizard man covered in gemstones. Resting at a food stall opposite of the odd man, chowing into some Dango. The rice flour sweets being delicious, but not his point of contention. He was focused on figuring out the man before him. The oddity. The species he had never felt before. His curiosity would get the better of this dumb, lacertid-looking oddity.
Sickle would get up mere moments after Kondai would finish his food, settling in on his bio-armor that coated his weakened, first form skin. Something he found quite odd. Why was it that he could grow his own protective coating, yet feel so uncomfortable in it all the same? He would toss these thoughts aside and hold his mind steadfast, attempting his best to keep his evil at bay. He wanted to know more about this man, not start a conflict he couldn't resolve, and so he would continue to pursue this man of interest, trailing behind him among the crowds. He wished he had the ability to conceal his Ki, as anyone with remotely half the power that man let off definitely knew some form of Ki sensing, but he had to just hope the man was dull in his senses.
"I sincerely hope I am not following some lunatic monkey who is going to try and kill me. I'm lucky enough to know a few humans and namekians who aren't dirtbags who try to execute me, but I am really putting myself on the line right here" he would comment quietly to himself, contemplating future moves. Should he just tap on the man's shoulder and start talking, or follow him some more and fake coincidence? He could hardly tell or care at the moment, and kept his focus on the man in question. |

| Kondai didn't notice the changeling following him quite yet. Well, not necessarily. He did due to his ki sense, but he didn't pay him any mind more than the simple thought that whoever he sensed was really strong, which was fascinating to him, he definitely had to be among the top tier of warriors on the planet, if it were safe he'd definitely follow it and challenge them, but he didn't wanna destroy the city on accident, so he didn't. Kondai kept wandering through the city seemingly aimlessly, taking in absolutely every sight he could along the way, if the changeling kept following him he'd probably notice that what Kondai was doing was incredibly mundane. However, after a while Kondai approached a poster nearby with an advertisement on it that piqued his interest. A small-time martial arts tournament with a small zeni prize? Hell yeah. He didn't get to fight all that much back during the World Martial Arts Tournament so this would hopefully scratch that itch. Maybe. Kondai took the poster off the wall and went on his way, following the signs to reach the place mentioned on the poster. It took Kondai about a ten minute walk but soon he approached a small dojo with a large ring out back. Kondai had every intention of walking in there and fighting. Slowly he pushed open the clear glass doors and walked into the building, looking around to see lots of human martial artists standing around of all different shapes and sizes, a small woman sitting at the far end of the building with a smile of her face, it didn't take her long at all to address Kondai directly, grabbing his attention. "Ah yes, are you here for the Tournament? If so feel free to wait here, it starts in ten minutes. Feel free to sign in and get ready." Kondai nodded silently and signed his name onto the sign up seat before going to seat himself on a nearby bench to wait for the start of this tournament.

| While Sickle was watching the young man casually stroll about, he was curious as to what was going through the creature's head. His thoughts, feelings, whatever made him tick. Sickle himself was lucky he had gone long enough without having a breakdown, and he did not want to risk it any further, so he was fully prepared to go up to the man and announce himself, before watching as he looked upon a poster donning a wall. Sickle was under the impression that this creature was merely an average joe, someone with zero intent aside from the mundane order of life on this planet. However, more seemed to spark inside him, as he led the Changeling to a martial arts tournament.
Now, Sickle was not the trained professional type. He was pampered a bard his whole life, and his fighting was attained while he was surviving the northern wilderness of this useless space rock full of overachieving monkeys. However, he was not one to simply give up on a chance to go head to head with the figure before him. He very well could be one of the greatest fighters Sickle will ever meet, and judging from his latent potential, the changeling was not going to take the risk of losing the best opportunity to introduce himself.
Waiting a few minutes until after Kondai had entered the establishment, the Changeling made his way in, striding himself over to the counter and signing himself up to fight. He was not sure what types of enemies he would be putting himself up against, judging from the power levels he did not expect much, unless they hid their best for last, though knowing establishments like this, it was likely. The Changeling himself would scan the room for his target, seated at a bench, seemingly awaiting the start of the competition. He was unsure as to what he wanted to introduce himself with, but without even fully thinking over what he was going to say or do, he would find himself walking up to the man from the side, attempting to wave down Kondai's attention with his rather smallish body. To those unfamiliar with Changelings, he may very well seem like a midget attempting to fight large, grown humans. He did not bother to enlighten the nearby men and women with his final form, as he also was having trouble holding it without hurting himself in the process.
"Ah, hello there. It's a pleasure to meet you." Sickle would say, reaching a hand out to shake if Kondai chose. "You're here for the competition as well, huh? Wild. I was looking around and not many opponents here really seem to match up well with the... harsher of people. I'm not expecting much. What about you?" He would prod and question. "What do you expect to come from his tournament?" |

Kondai was simply preparing himself for the upcoming fights mentally before Sickle approached him. Kondai's immediately looked up at him in mild confusion. This guy was making small talk randomly and he didn't look like a human. In fact, Kondai recognized what race he was from, it was a race that was mildly infamous as the race of the infamous space dictator Frieza as spoken of in history books back on Planet Sadala. The Changelings. Kondai was mildly uncomfortable but refused to reflect that, treating the changeling acquaintance with respect and kindness.
"A pleasure to meet you too. I'm Kondai, I look forward to a hopefully fun challenge for the both of us. Please do enjoy yourself if you fight me."
When Sickle said he wasn't expecting much of a challenge Kondai laughed a little. He was right but it was definitely not proper etiquette to just say that out loud like that for everybody to hear, that wasn't exactly right to them.
"I have hope for all challengers, underestimating an opponent is how you lose a fight after all. In a serious fight that might even get you suddenly killed. Though I would doubt that anybody would aim to kill anyone in this small tournament, namely because it's against the rules and it's a tournament for a menial prize that's really not worth that. Then again life is precious, not much is worth killing for."
Kondai said before he continued after being asked what he expects from this tournament.
"Heh, well that's simple, I'm hoping to get some more Zeni so I can save up for a spaceship to get home to my home planet. Simple as that. Though if I lose I lose, no big deal."
It wasn't long before the tournament announcer came in over an intercom. A static noise could be heard before a rough voice of an old man came in over it.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the tournament is about to begin! The first two challengers are Kondai and Sickle! Cheer them on while they do their best out there!"
Kondai jumped up before looking at Sickle, not knowing he was his opponent before speaking excitedly.
"Time for my first match, out there I go, see ya soon!"
Kondai said before he ran off, giving sickle no time to say anything as Kondai's excitement for a fight overtook him, Kondai had a pretty happy-go-lucky attitude, that much was pretty damn clear.

| Listening to the Saiyan talk, Sickle would hear his spearhead of mutual hope for all fighters there to be exactly how powerful one may hope. His spiel about how underestimating foes results in losses. The Changeling knew all too well about how one could conceal their true potential, and he was very well to take the advice from the Saiyan, however it seemed that would be unnecessary. The announcer arriving to the conclusion that the first two fighters would be Sickle and this Kondai. It was at this moment that Sickle noticed he had completely forgotten to tell the other being his name, and thus the surprise of the fight would definitely be a shocker, hopefully, to the Saiyan.
Sickle would make his way stealthily to the opposite side of where the two combatants would meet, arriving at the ring with his body hiding as much intent as it could as he found himself on the field of battle. He was not the type of person to commit to this type of fight, as his glory battles were almost entirely done when under his mental constraints, though he found solace in the idea of testing his raw might against trained fighters. Sickle's total lack of professional fighting experience would give his opponent a proper edge, but he vowed to not let this prevent him from making this fight a good one.
Stepping up to the arena, hopefully meeting his opponent with a smirk and glare in his eyes, he would take the pose of the ancient emperor of his home planet and empire, his face-plate sliding up to cover his mouth and nasal cavity, only revealing the shining blue eyes through the slits in his bio-armor, burning with the colors of the ocean and the heat of the sun. His entire body letting off the intent to kill, with his Ki feeling both evil and confused at the same time, as if he were fighting his morality. His fingers clenching with a mix of despot anger and physical restraint.
"It appears our meetings do not end at benches, surrounded by potential foes." Sickle would say before the match would start, his voice deep and muffled by his facial mask, as if speaking through a filter or gas mask. "It is a pleasure to introduce myself as Sickle, son of V. Ize, prodigy of the Changelings. May our clash be as graceful as the flight of birds, and the blood spilled minimal." he would chuckle when he ended his entrance, preparing for when the announcer would start the fight, allowing the Saiyan the first strike, staying perfectly still in his stance, awaiting any form of choreography from his opponent. The slightest twitch of a muscle, the next air movement sifled as his body may move in either direction. Whatever may hint as to where next the Saiyan may decide to start his assault against the twisted Frost Demon. Sickle himself questioning his mind as it raged against the agony as to what next may come from this foe. One that matched his power in suppression to well, it would be a rather even but fun match, that was for sure.
