"Under the light of a blood moon, the Shamblers will come and stake their claim."
Silica/Legemeton
Female/Male
Earth
Demon
(Would like to roll for BoN)
Interdimensional Transition:
A demon is capable of opening a portal to take them to any location in the universe, this is an instant teleportation technique. This cannot be used as an evasive technique. If used to flee a fight, it will take one full turn without interruption. Meaning, an opponent can stop you from leaving.) The cooldown for the ability is as such-
>50K pl - 1 Month
50k pl - 3 Weeks
100k pl - 2 Weeks
150K pl - 1 Week
They can take two people with them but they will be stuck on this planet or portion of the universe until the cooldown ends unless they have a means of travelling back.
Looters:
Demons are very good at taking from others, whether it be through fear tactics or simply using their natural abilities to sneak in and out. 10% bonus to all zeni gains. Doubled for battles.
Demonic Spike:
When a demon's desperate and backed into a corner they become much more terrifying,
given that a demon can go to extreme measures to avoid being harmed.
A demon is capable of adding a boost to an attack! (Technique damage x2, One use per thread.)
Age:
13/Time Immemorial
Balanced
Appearance:
Legemeton himself retains no true form, taking on a host and utilizing their body for his own machinations, usually mutating their bodies beyond recognition when he chooses to do so. Should he present himself in his incorporeal form however, he can be seen as a long purple wisp with the skull of a horse at one end, smoking almost from the eyes, nose, and mouth.
History:
Legemeton was born a concept of the Arkana, a being without form and ever roaming the Demon Realm without the capabilities to act on his own accord. For thousands of years this was his life, bound to the Realm and only capable of learning, mastering the arts and forms he was born into, learning what little he could of the other planes of existence, however little word managed to reach the Demon Realm about the worlds above. Legends were spread of a supreme sorcerer and his being of mass destruction at some point in his youth, but after this point all went quite. This was the Demon Realm however, and that which didn't cause mayhem and destruction didn't draw their attention very much. Thousands of years would pass without a word, Legemeton only able to sit and ponder on his existence and his abilities.
One day a curious idea crossed the Demon's mind, to spread his influence to the living world, through thought and concept, leaking his forbidden knowledge unto the Earth and letting the Humans develop the means by which he could escape this millennia old prison. So that one day he could rise and claim his birth rite as the heir to the Arkana. As time went on a cult would form under the name of 'The Sons and Daughters of Arkana', the few that would be drawn in by the symbols and knowledge that Legemeton forced into their world. Rites and rituals were written, developed, and tested to summon their mighty lord, but never once were any successful, rather they would always draw out something far inferior.
Hundreds years more would pass and the cult would fade into obscurity, Legemeton had all but given up his last glimmer of hope, when the holy text for the cult wound up in the hands of a young woman, fraught with the news that she would never be able to conceive a child of her own. In her despair she turned to the occult, digging through the tome for a ritual to bestow upon herself a child, a ritual never fully tested by the cult itself, as the rites were taken and the proper procedures were followed, the being of pure Arkana felt his very life force break from the Demon Realm as he became one with this new life, a product of a ritual long lost and returned.
Ten more years would pass as the mother raised this child of hers, the virgin birth considered a miracle by most, but a curse by many others. They would tell the mother that her daughter Silica was not her own person, but only the host to something far worse. She would refute these arguments and raise her daughter regardless. That was, until the day that she first revealed what was truly hidden beneath. The young girl found herself being grabbed by a strange man in West City, as her fear and anger grew, so did the slumbering might of Legemeton, who without thinking about it contorted the girl into a monstrous form and slew the man, leaving viscera and blood in her wake. The mother was terrified, too scared to raise her own daughter, she would leave her in a home for children whose parents either died or left.
For the next three years she would be forced into hard labor, working in factories, bound by chains and threatened regularly. This would persist without the demon waking again, that was until the day she was selected from the other children to meet the 'head master' of the home. She would step through the thick wooden doorway, the door slamming behind her and in no time the man had her by the arm, malicious intent in his eyes. Before she could scream a resonating tone erupted from within her, her body torn asunder as the demon Legemeton awoke to protect his host, claws tearing at the man as he tore him limb from limb. Alerted to the screaming, two men with guns would enter and begin firing on the best, the creature unphased by the bullets as it ripped into them as well, stalking the halls and tearing all of the staff apart, setting the other children free in the process.
As his and her rages came to a calm, her body fell from the mass of blood and muscle that surrounded her. Collapsed asleep in the bloody heap, she was on her own from this way forwards with the demon inside of her.
Personality:
Silica- A gentle and compassionate girl, Silica is what one would idealize from a young girl her age. A kind and caring soul who prefers to stay out of a fight, however years of abuse and disdain have left her indifferent to some. When she has control she will take a pacifistic path to conflict resolution. All she desires is to find somewhere comfortable to stay and prevent herself from being stuck in another situation where she is thrown away without warning and treated like an item by others.
Legemeton- Thousands of years without a body makes one a spiteful and resentful soul. Legemeton has no personal concern for those around him or anywhere for that, the only exception being Silica as she acts as his vessel for survival. He has no qualms killing off those he finds inferior or taking the fight to those he feels like beating the ever living crap out of. Were it not for the minor influence Silica has over his psyche at the time his goals would very likely line up with that of conquering the planet. However for the time being he wants to explore his capabilities now that he has a body.
Starting Technique:
[ST-1] Shape shifting
The means by which one alters and mutated their bodies to a point beyond recognition. Due to the simplicity of this magic, there is no arkana drawn to act upon this power.
[ST-1] The All Seeing Eye
Through drawing this Arkana, Legemeton and Silica may place this sigil on a person or item of their choosing. Once this sigil has been placed it can only be removed by the creator and allows the creator to track the Eye no matter where it goes on the planet, she also has information on their status and current power. This fades at the end of a thread. (unless otherwise stated OOCly)
[ST-1] The Sign of Ancients
Through inducing this sign, Legemeton and Silica create a nullification field that cancels out all attacks that strike it and are under its current power. Attacks that crease over its power will shatter the sign, but will be reduced in power equal to teh blocking power of the barrier.
[1-25%]
[ST-1] Quintus Caelestis
Inducing the sign of the fifth Celestial, the user forces a mutation through their body as rippling wings erupt form their back, adored with angelic white fathers, some of which may be stained with the user's own blood. These wings allow for manageable flight.
[CT-1] Heaven's Heat
Upon tracing this symbol, the user may target the internals of an opponent, forcing magic and ki into their bodies and increasing the temperature of their organs/blood/machinery to a point that it burns them over time. (Flavoured Bleed Effect)
[1-25%]
[PT-1] Vagrant's Cross
This symbol induces forced mutation on the user, erupting a tentacle from their forearm. This new appendage is only durable enough for a single strike and will rip off of the user after it hits.
[1-25%]
[ST-1] The Unnamable
Calling upon a being that cannot be imagined, and a name that cannot be spoken. As this symbol is educed, those in the immediate fight (at all three ranges will be instantly stunned. This does not discriminate friend or foe. However exposure to the beast once will make one immune to its effects again for a short time (Until the thread ends).
[1 Turn Stun]
[ST-1] Astral Sign
The power of the Astral Sign will make the user completely intangible for a short time, this time frame is rarely substantial, but can be used to avoid immediate damage without the risk of being injured. However if one cannot get the sign drawn fast enough it does them no good.
[75% Stamina Cost for dodge]
Example Roleplay:
"You aren't alone child, from hence forth I am both your guardian and your puppet master.", A voice rang through Silica's mind, echoing endlessly as she slept. After the outburst, her body was worn out. For hours she would sleep like this, covered in the blood of many as well as her own, tears silently running down her face in fear of what would have happened and what she did. The other children at the orphanage had not abandoned her, understanding who had rescued them from the horrors of the factories and whatever happened behind closed doors. The larger children would carry Silica to the closest bathroom, taking care when washing the blood and tears from her hair and body, giving back to her in what small way they could. It would be an entire day before she would wake, finding herself stripped of her clothing and lying in a blanketed bed, the softest she had been in in the three years since her abandonment.
"W-Where am I? What happened?", her quiet voice carried into the next room. The young girl shivered at the cold draft in the empty, worn room. Hearing that she had awoken, two of the other children who had been on watch came to her side. Before they could say a word, her ears went deaf and the voice returned, "I saved your life, and theirs. We both must learn to live as one being if either of us wish to live long enough for it to matter." There was both slyness and concern in the voice of the demon. Giving the young female human visions of his past and of what happened that day before. Silica had to hold back the tears as she gripped the blanket, had that night before actually occurred, or was she being lied to?
Legemeton would fall silent again as the older children checked on Silica, her hearing returning once more. They wanted to check her for any bruises or injuries once more. Scarring could be seen across her legs and back, arms pinched to the extremes by cuffed shackles none of the children were able to remove, but the chains has been busted a few links down, leaving this cold, thick steel hanging helplessly from each of their arms. The others would help the young girl get dressed in one of the few dresses that remained, a very simple, yet sad looking one of purple and oranges accented by light blues and green-greys. The girl's long silver hair and bright blue eyes flashed against this cacophony of hues, giving her a bit more character than before.
