It had been a long year since the day Alris was tossed aside like a child by the raging Sayian berserker.
It had begun shortly after his final attack had blasted that strange Sayian into unconsciousness, heralded by screams of terror and fear. Alris immediately flew back down to the ring to see what the problem was, only to spot a swarm of Earth fighters surrounding some sort of raging demon, protecting the helpless Earthlings from her innumerable magical attacks.
Alris slowly walked out of the training center of the World of the Kais, making for his humble home atop a high rocky knoll. The trip was far shorter then it used to have been, likely due to his massive increase of speed resulting from a year of nonstop training and development. He eased open his door, strolling across the large room to his kitchen, were he began to fix himself a small cup of tea. However, even as Alris stared into the murky depths of the beverage, he once again thought of Earth, and his humiliation.....
Alris' power, borne of thousands of years of practice and martial arts development, roared around him in a white cyclone, protecting him from the worst of the raging Sayian's ki blast. Nevertheless, the attack nearly killed him, sending him crashing into the hard turf surrounding the ring. The Shinjin struggled to rise, propping himself up on his elbows. "So....strong. Even a basic ki blast nearly..hack..killed me" He muttered to himself, painfully turning his head to assess the condition of those fighters that were struggling with the Sayian brute alongside him.
All he could see, however was scorched grass and the still forms of many powerful fighters. Even the other Sayian, likely the strongest here other then Alris himself, was struggling against this warrior. The Shinjin hissed as he raised his left arm, bracing it against the warm ground and using the leverage to slowly push himself to his feet. He managed to get one shaking leg to support his leg, and used that positioning to fully rise to his feet. Alris knew that trying to challange such a powerhouse was the height of stupidity, but what could he do? If he could not claim his birthright as a protector of the universe, what was he?
Flaring the last of his energy, Alris attempted to hit the mighty Sayian with a bullrush from behind, only for his fist to be enveloped in the meaty paw of the warrior. Sensing an impending attack, the Shinjin desperately attempted to escape, only for a massive leg to strike him in the leg, punting him into the air at insane speeds, until he eventually came crashing back down to the air, utterly defeated.
With a shaking hand, Alris slowly put down the teacup, instead retrieving his cloak and journal from their resting place. He had once again applied to conduct a quadrant survey, for reasons unknown to even himself. Maybe he wanted to get vengeance for his defeat, maybe he wanted to find a way of increasing his power even further. Alris didn't know, and doubted he ever would. With one last look around his home, Alris vanished.
He would reappear in the skies of Namek, above a small Namekian village and the fields surrounding it. The Shinjin closed his eyes, spreading his awareness across the entire planet, his pen a few inches above the smooth paper of his journal. Recording the Mortal Level was an important task of lower Shinjin, as frequent updates were essential to allowing the higher Kais to do their job properly. If Alris had any intuition at all, the mortal level of Namek should be just about......
His eyes snapped open as Alris' ki sense encountered a massive energy signature, quite a bit above even his newfound suppressed power, and it was a Human. Afire with curiosity, Alris once again called upon his powers, teleporting the short distance from his current position to just a few meters to the signature's left. It was time to see what this person was doing on such a peaceful world.
