Name of Race:
Nucleoclasts
Home Planet:
History of Race:
All species have their beginnings. Some start with a shout. Others, a whisper. And still others, a cry of fury.
When Earthlings faced the stars on the cusp of Age 737, they were full of hope. To join the strange new races beyond their atmosphere, they would have to build a machine proper. And when it was built, they’d need a team to man it. To be the first Earthlings beyond the atmosphere... an honor. Among the throngs of volunteers, a handful of volunteers, each seeking the stars for their own reasons, were selected and trained. Armed with Capsule Corp’s best equipment at the time, it was time to see if Earthlings were meant to fly, or doomed to fall.
So much hope, so much promise.... And yet, so easy to topple.
When the crew of the Emissary could finally return to keeping notes, things were in shambles. Something had interfered with their flight, leaving them with a damaged ship and few supplies on their destination planet. Far from home, with little to their name, and no way back... Despair took some of the survivors, while harsh radiation took others, and still others fought tooth and nail to survive. Distress signals were fired at the highest capacity they could manage in their damaged state. Shelters and food were both dangerous, but necessary. And yet... no one came. The crew watched the skies and waited, and were met with cold, empty silence. Eventually, those who did not fall found themselves still; cold and weary as their last breaths were taken by the planet they’d sought to tame.
That was nearly 250 years before the incident.
With Earth well established in its space travel, Red Capsule deems it fitting that they clean up any mess they’d left behind in their studies. And that meant returning to Striea V. And that...
That’s when they were found.
Throngs of.. creatures. Formless and faceless, save for their single, staring eyes. Bodies that shifted and twisted like shadows on fog, mimicking humanoid form in a grotesque mockery. Nervous, wary, and with voices howling like the wind through the strewn, ancient bones...
They were deemed a threat. And that was the last mistake the captain ever made.
They may not have been armed, but they knew the terrain well. Their control over radiation and their shape lead to the swift and merciless downfall of the returning Red Capsule employees, and with their newly... acquired technology, the self-proclaimed ‘Nucleoclasts’ took to the stars once again, armed and angry. Many turned to other planets, hopeful to never see another human in their undetermined lifetime. And yet some, with blood on their hands and hate in their gaze, turned the ships homebound.
Earth had some explaining to do.
Appearance:
Due to their Non-Newtonian, Psuedoliquid form, Nucleoclasts vary vastly in size and shape, and can change their own figure at will. There are a few things that each Nucleoclast shares with its kin, such as their large, singular ‘eye’ (in reality, a single eye is the least that one Nucleoclast will carry) and dark bodies sharing their texture with silly putty. Each individual has a form they prefer, and will stay in this form most of the time. These bodies contain no bones, nervous systems, or organs, but instead seem to be composed of cells that change their purpose based on needs.
Racial Biology:
Cellular Assimilation:
Due to the nature of their body, Nucleoclasts can reform parts and pieces of themselves in a pinch. Where most idle regeneration would include eating and rest, an individual in duress can focus their radiation to reform parts of their body.

Reformation:
A body without bones or muscle is a body that goes where it pleases. Nucleoclasts have been known to deform and reform themselves at will, allowing them to get into places previous closed off and avoid certain dangers. As there are no veins or arteries either, these creatures are immune to bleeds, poisons, and some other hazards, not even to talk about the fact that they can stretch at will to strike at medium range physically!

Pop the layer:
Nucleolasts, while not known for their hospitality, have at least taken some courtesy measures for the non-irradiated individuals around them. While this thin, protective layer of 'skin' that forms around the individual keeps radiation at bay, disrupting said layer with aggression may cause it to rupture, leaking a dangerous toxin into the immediate area. Nucleoclasts will reflect when hit in melee range with a free base ki blast of poison and radiation.

Transformations:
Powered by Radiation - 100,000 PL required
Unlike radiation previously known, it seems the material that composes a Nucleoclast only gets more
and more irradiated with time and effort. Those who put in the work will reap benefits to their strength and vitality, and
may note a strange color shift in the process.

[x15][Mastery at 1k, 2k, 4k, etc]
Survivor of Fire - 250,000 PL required
Heat and hate makes a Nucleoclast more viscous, and channeling that fire in battle has its benefits.
The individual now spouts dark red flames, a startling cloak for a form that's grown tougher.
[x30][Mastery at 1k, 2k, 4k, etc]
Hardened By The Blast - 450,000 PL required
Further focus and training pushes an individual to their limits, in which a Nucleoclast may take
on a faded, tougher exterior for a period of time.
[x45][Mastery at 2k, 4k, 8k, etc]
They Who Saw The Sun - 600,000 PL required
A harrowing step in their transformation, a Nucleoclast will cause the surrounding area to grow dark,
the only light emanating from a single, glaring eye. Only those who have tread through darkness
may know what true light is.
[x60][Mastery at 3k, 6k, 12k, etc]
Origin Flash - 1,050,000 PL required
There are monsters out in the cosmos, and it seems you're facing one. A Nucleoclast has breached it's
limits, causing destruction in the area around them. They have faced the apocalypse, and they
have walked away. Will you?
[x99][Mastery at 3k, 6k, 12k, etc]
