Is it Time to Move On? (Vuoto/Moon)

Tsuki had, not for the first time, headed back to the forest she had grown up in. Somewhat sad that once again, there was no forest guardian to greet her and make her feel special. She had Ayumu now, but it was different somehow. She’d taken to perching up in the first of the trees to grow back. Believing it to be the work of the guardian restoring her home before returning to take the fight back to the mean people who had taken it away. The little wolf had had no luck but had spent some time wishing that the guardian would come back before slowly drifting off the sleep.

She’d woken up to the faintest of sounds, someone had stepped close to the tree and was resting against it. She thought for just a moment that it would be the guardian herself and burst out of her sleeping spot to try and hug the arrival. Only for her to realise way too late that it was someone else that she was now comically dropping out of the sky on. Oops.

Oh thank the heavens for that Tsuki had missed, the little wolf bounced off the ground and back to her feet with a little squeak before staring curiously at the stranger. She had thought it was going to be the guardian but instead it was this strange person. Tsuki gave them a happy little bark and wagged her tail before deciding to apologise for what she had done.

“Oops! Sorry, thought you were forest guardian. I always try surprise her. But she catches me every time. You haven’t seen her have you?”

The little wolf pup gently picked it’s way over to the big tree and gently headbutted it, not enough to do any damage but it was the best she could do to point at what she wanted vouto to look at.

“After big fire, she vanished. But then tree started coming back! So hopefully so will she! I miss getting hugged.”

Tsuki heard the demon talk of the guardian not coming back, the little pup’s head not leaving contact with the tree as it started to whine pitifully. To think that something as strong as the guardian of a whole forest would just die so easily like that. It was rather sad really. She’d never get to see her friend once again. The little pup’s eyes slowly grew a little wider and happier though as something really important filtered through her head.

“You fix forest? You the new guardian! Yay Tsuki happy to meet you! Tsuki’s training with the soon to be guardian of Earth! Tsuki knows many guardians!”

From sadness to prancing about the place in mere moments, it seemed that you really couldn’t keep a good dog down. Though she felt it was her duty really to warn the new guardian about what had happened to the old one really.

“Okay, new guardian. Please be careful, big stompy robots with wooshy fire arm! It burnded the old guardian and she had to flee! Tsuki was caught in the fire. But tsuki always okay!”

Tsuki looked strangely at the new guardian. Especially since they were talking like they weren’t going to stay and protect the place. The wolf hopped up and stood on thin air to look closely at Vuoto, trying to get close to his face.

“Hm? But with no guardian. It’ll all burn down again. Tsuki don’t wanna be caught on fire. Again...Why fix so greedy human can burn down? Why new guardian no stay and protect?”

She sat back after that, just contently resting in the air as if it were the solid ground beneath her behind and wagged her tail expectantly, surely this new guardian would see sense in what Tsuki was trying to say? Then she could have a new friend to play with. That’d be awesome!

Tsuki seemed quite happy in the air, bouncing up and down on the little pad of energy and even leaping from side to side on the little things while poking at tongue out at the demon. Mostly she was just being silly and playful, unfortunately the pups seemingly tiny attention span was causing her problems in following the conversation properly as she simply exclaimed.

“Yay, new guardian!”

Once more trying to hug Vuoto, though at least the outburst did seem to match with his comment about making sure the forest wouldn’t be hurt. She just seemed happy to have met this strange person and was being her usual silly self about it.

“So did new guardian know old guardian? Did new guardian get hugs and scritches too!?”

Tsuki gave a little whine as they were moved off of the new guardian. The little wolf looking ever so upset at not being given headpats or even little cuddles by the new guardian. Their fluffy tail drooping as low as their own ears did at the seeming sadness in both themselves and in the voice of the new guardian. The little pup shuffling on the floor a little as it looked up into that red eye.

“Blew up? Like the machines? Did someone make her go boom?”

Tsuki’s little face had hardened just a little, as if she was planning on going to get revenge upon whomever had done this to her beloved guardian. Back then she’d had no idea what she had been capable of. Under Ayumu’s tutelage, she knew she was capable of feets that would blow the mind of the average human. Maybe there was a way she could help now.

Tsuki’s apparent inability to stay still unless something was making her kicked in once again, the little wolf starting to prance around Vuoto making little happy noises. If anything it almost sounded like she was chanting new friend in a garbled way over and over. So much for her sadness at having lost the forest guardian. Then again it might jjust be a wolf thing, they tended to always look forwards and not at the past all that much.

“Huh? Silly, Tsuki always okay! She just hide good!”

She settled in place and concentrated for a moment, a small aura bursting out around her as she stopped hiding her energy and let it all out, well most of it anyway the small weights hidden under her fur seemed to stop it all coming out somehow. Tsuki didn’t seem to much mind however and was just giggling to herself at her energy flowing properly, allowing her to be even more overexcitable and energetic, prancing about across little ki platforms around Vuoto at high speeds, blurring from spot to spot.

“Tsuki is best wolf! She was made special. So she gets to play with everyone fun!”

She let out a couple of barks as if that actually helped the point any and continued to dance around until she felt that weird cold coming out from Vuoto and the silly and innocent little wolf got entirely the wrong idea about the problem before just trying to give Vuoto a hug once more, exclaiming.

“Oh no, you’s cold! Tsuki help!”
